Today we open the gates of Torakx. For months we have been building a server that joins the best of two eras: the classic gameplay of protocol 8.60, with its spells, its combat pace and its uncompromising PvP, on top of a modern engine with the systems that define Tibia today. This post sums up everything you will find inside.

The world

Torakx runs on the full global map: more than thirty cities, from Thais and Carlin to Issavi, Marapur and the islands of Oramond and Feyrist, with over a thousand NPCs with their quests, transport and trade. Hunting grounds of every level are open from day one: rotworms and cyclops to start, Asura Palace, Cobra Bastion, Falcon Bastion, Roshamuul, Gnomprona and the hunts of Ingol and Monster Graveyard when you are ready.

World type and PvP

Torakx is an Open PvP world. Protection ends at level 1, three unjustified kills in a day give a red skull and six a black one. Guilds can declare official wars with a frag limit and a gold stake; the score updates live in the Wars section of the website and kills are announced in game.

Experience, skills and loot

The experience stages are designed for a fast start and a meaningful end game:

• Level 1 to 50: x100
• Level 51 to 70: x80
• Level 71 to 80: x65
• Level 81 to 100: x45
• Level 101 to 120: x25
• Level 121 to 140: x10
• Level 141 to 175: x8
• Level 176 to 180: x2
• Level 181 to 200: x1.5
• Level 201 and above: x1

Skills and magic level also progress in stages, loot is x2 and spawn is the original. There is a stamina system, offline training in beds and the quality-of-life features nobody wants to lose anymore: quick loot, auto loot with gold pouch and auto bank so your money goes straight to your account.

Modern systems on 8.60

This is what makes Torakx different. All of these systems are active from launch:

• Imbuements and Forge to improve and fuse your equipment.
• Wheel of Destiny to customise your vocation from level 51.
• Bestiary and Charms, with Echo Raids that open portals to special hunts.
• Prey with experience, loot and damage bonuses on the creature of your choice.
• A global Market to buy and sell without middlemen.
• Task Board with hunting tasks, bounties on players and weekly tasks.
• A seasonal Battle Pass with 50 reward levels and an exclusive shop once completed.
• Character Bazaar to auction characters safely using coins.
• Boosted creature and boss every day: double experience, double loot and spawns twice as fast on the creature of the day, and extra loot on the boss of the day.
• Reward bosses with an individual reward chest: nobody steals your loot.
• A reset system for those who reach the top and want to start again with permanent bonuses.
• Magic roulette and hirelings for your house.
• An in-game Store with Torakx Coins: mounts, outfits, blessings and boosts.

Events every week

The event calendar is fixed, in Mexico time, and the website shows it converted to your time zone:

• Every day at 20:00: rotating Daily Boss with a chest for every participant.
• Monday 21:00: Zombie Event.
• Tuesday 20:30: Hunt the Creature, one hour of double loot on the marked monster.
• Wednesday 19:00: Fishing Tournament.
• Thursday 21:00: Team Battle.
• Friday 21:00: Castle War; the winning guild keeps it for a week with +5% experience.
• Saturday 20:00: Last Man Standing. 21:00: City Wars.
• Sunday: double experience all day and Firestorm at 19:00.

The winners of every event are recorded automatically in the Events section of the website.

Two clients, one world

You can play with the classic 8.60 client, the original CipSoft client with mount support, or with the Astra client, which adds the modern interface for Market, Prey, Bestiary, Task Board, Battle Pass, Forge, Wheel of Destiny and the Store. Both are in the Downloads section.

Clear rules

No bots, no modified clients, no selling of characters or coins outside the website. The support team is listed in the Team section and bug reports are rewarded. Read the full rules before you start.
