Your first steps in Torakx

   Create your account

   Sign up for free on this website. Save your password and your recovery key: without them your account cannot be recovered.

   Download a client

   Two clients connect to Torakx. The classic one is the original 8.60 look. The Astra client is needed for modern systems such as the Market, Prey, Bestiary and Battle Pass. See the table below.

   Enter the world

   Choose where you start when you create your character. In Dawnport, the island for beginners, you start at level 1 without a vocation and choose it at level 8 by talking to Oressa. In any other town you start at level 8 with the vocation you choose. Read the Vocations page before deciding.

   Learn to hunt safely

   Open the Creatures page and search for what lives near you: it tells you where each creature is, what it is weak against and what it drops. Use the Spells page to find the spells of your vocation.

   Protect yourself

   Torakx is Open PvP from level 1: other players can attack you anywhere outside protection zones. When you die you lose experience and may lose items. Type !bless (100,000 gold) to reduce those losses.

   Use the conveniences

   Type !autoloot on to pick up items automatically and !quickloot on for quick looting. Gold goes straight to your bank. Type !commands in game for the full list.

7. 7

   Grow further

   Type !promotion at level 20 (20,000 gold). From level 51, promoted characters unlock the Wheel of Destiny. Each day check the boosted creature on the home page: it gives double experience and double loot.

What each client can do

All the classic gameplay (hunting, spells, houses, guilds, PvP, events) works on both clients.
